Making slide shows from your pictures can be fun and it does not need to be difficult either. There are quite a few software programs available that will help you to make a slide show, but I tend to use one called Pictures To Exe. I have tried others but I reckon that PTE is about the best - it is published in two versions, the basic version is 4.49 and the more advanced version is currently version 5.6.1 - Like all software, there is quite a lot to learn before you can consider yourself to be an 'expert' so I always recommend that you should start with the basic version and learn that first.
Here is an example of a simple slide show created with version 4.4.9 with some interesting IMAGE EDGE EFFECTS created in Photoshop. Download it and see what you think.

THE 4 WAY SPLIT animation effect has proved to be one of the more popular of my tutorials and I think that the reason for this is that it can be used anywhere in a slide show, particularly at the beginning as a title sequence. If you would like to see a sample of what the effect looks like, click on the download link below. The tutorial is available on my CD number 01 - available Here.

This is a slide show that I made when Version 5 of Pictures to Exe, when it was first introduced, and it demonstrates how 'Scrolling Text' can be used effectively as an opening credit slide. There is also an example of how you can use the 'rotating' option to end your show. The slide show itself, is about the ruins of RAGLAN CASTLE that is situated in the small Welsh village of Raglan.
