Details of the six tutorials contained on pdf Tutorial CD-04
Simple Zooming |
Version 5, of the Pictures to Exe program, makes it possible to animate objects in many different ways but there is quite a learning curve to understanding just how these animations are created. This tutorial will teach you the basic steps required in order to achieve the 'Zooming' effect that can be visually pleasing when done correctly. This first tutorial is especially suitable for those people who need very basic instruction. |
Simple Panning |
This tutorial follows the same theme as the one above but demonstrates how simple it is to create the 'Panning' effect. Images can be made to move across your screen in any direction (even diagonally) and can be made to move slowly or very quickly. You will need to learn the basic steps required and this tutorial will show you just how easy it can be. |
Scrolling Text |
Many films, on television and in the cinema, have long been using this effect where text simply scrolls slowly up or down the screen. Particularly useful as an opening title or a closing credit for your slide show. I will show you how to create the text as a 'PNG' file and then how to move this text from the bottom of your screen until it disappears off the top. Step by step instructions will be provided with plenty of screen shots so that you can see exactly what is happening at each stage. |
Intro Sequence |
This is the first part of a 2 part tutorial that deals with the creation of an introductory sequence to your slide shows. You can see a demo of what this sequence looks like HERE. In this first part I will show you how to create the sequence using Photoshop and, in part two, I show you how to use Pictures To Exe to animate the whole thing. After having mastered the techniques outlined in the three tutorial above, you will find that this tutorial is quite easy to follow. Have a go at it and see for yourself how much more professional your slide shows will be. Your viewers will be very impressed. |
Intro Sequence |
A follow on from Part One above. After having created the required text and then made the searchlight beams, I show you how to animate the whole sequence and then to add the mp3 music to your show. You will use the panning and zooming techniques that you have already learned from the previous tutorials. This is a 'fun' way of presenting your slide shows and you will be very proud of the finished Intro Sequence. |
Lab Color |
Sharpening your images can spoil them completely if you overdo it and so many people are unaware that there are so many different ways of sharpening an image. I like to keep things simple so, in this tutorial, I will show you my favorite method of using the 'Lab Color' - 'Channels' and the 'Unsharp Mask' options in Photoshop to sharpen just the light channel of your images in order to make them really stand out from the crowd. Give this method a try and I am sure that you will want to go on using it. |
