Images that you intend to use in an audio visual slide show will always need some preliminary work in an image editor such as Photoshop. You will need to consider converting to the jpeg format, colour correction, resizing to a pre-determined size, adding a thin outline to each image and much more. This work can be very time consuming and repetitive. However, there is a way around it because it can be automated! In this tutorial I will show you how to create a 'Photoshop Action' that will do the work for you and then I show you how to create and use a 'Droplet' to run the action on a complete folder of images. A real time saver! |
Change |
Have you ever wonderd what your car would look like with a completely different colour. Well now you can find out because in this tutorial I will be showing you how to give your car a complete respray job. Change it to almost any colour you like and see the difference. |
Convert Colour Images |
Photoshop provides so many different ways of converting colour to black & white and it can be difficult to decide which method is best for you. Choose the wrong one and you can completely destroy your image. I will show you some of the more popular methods that are available and explain which I think are the better ones to use. Some are very easy and can be carried out in a few minutes whilst others will take a little more time. The end results will be worth the effort. |

A novelty filter effect that creates a jigsaw from any of your images. You can make a simple ten piece puzzle for you children or create a complex puzzle with as many pieces as you like. You will learn to 'cut out' an individual jigsaw piece in a very simple way using the options available within Photoshop. The end result can be very satisfying indeed. |
| The 4 Way Split |
Using Photoshop and Pictures To Exe, I show you how to create a stunning animation effect that splits an image into four pieces and then brings each piece onto your screen so that the original image is reformed. You will learn how to split the image into 4 using the techniques available in Photoshop and then how to use Object & Animation options within Pictures To Exe. An excellent animation that you can apply anywhere within your slide shows but particularly as an opening title. |
3 Way |
A variation of the above technique but this time you will create a Photoshop Action that automates the process of splitting an image into three pieces. The separate pieces can then be used in your slide shows to create an animation effect with a slight difference. |
